SuMu,

Help and information is at the Tree Forum.

I have moved your post there so it gets more reviews.

Ha, sock! That's a new one. I was always partial to propane torches. You used to be able to get 6-8 foot flexable hose with a tourch at the end for the small propane cylinders. I would tape the touch and the bottle to a piece of cane and go to town.

I don't think that these "remidies" help decrease the population by an appreciable amount but they do make us feel better.

Welcome to pecans. You will never rid yourself of whatever they may be (Eastern Tent or Fall webworm). But decreasing the populaiton is possible. To have a real effect, Bt, wasp and other benificial bugs are your best bet. But it won't make you feel as good as burning the sucker to a crisp.
