I Do not recommend going to Hartwells' Nursery in Lewisville. I Was looking for a trombone sprayer and the guy working didn't know what it was along with not knowing what B.T was...But thats O.K. However, When I Asked the owner if he had Organic potting soil,he replied in a mean way, "Dirt is Dirt, What do you want?"

I don't blame you at all for feeling how you do. I have been at feed stores & nurseries that promote toxic chemicals as the first solution. Some of these suppliers are even listed in the "Dirt" & on Howard's radio show. Your best bet is to go to 100% organic places & to keep your eyes/ears open. Mill around & listen to what they inform other people.

The "soap" you use is normally chemicals, etc. Use real SOAP !!

dee dee, i'm very surprised! i've been going to Hartwell's for some time and never had a problem. Scott, the owner-tall thin man with white hair, has always been very knowledegable on organic subjects. He even carries garrett juice. now their prices are a little high but thats the only complaint i've had.
