Well, almost. I have thousands of Burr Oak acorns from an incredibly large mother tree.
Last year, I planted about a dozen acorns in 1-gallon pots and was rewarded with near 100% success. Today I planted 10, 18 - 24" Burr Oak trees in my pasture. I could have planted them after 6 months because they didn't grow much bigger in the pots after the initial burst of growth.
A couple of folks from this forum have already come up to gather some and I have plenty left.
The mother tree is about 15" short of being the Texas state record Burr Oak, so the genes are good. I live in McKinney about 3.5 miles off US75. PM me if you want some acorns.
