I need to spread some Bermuda seed on my Bermuda lawn now that it is a constant 70 degrees. It's also time to fertilize. Can I do both at the same time? If not, what's should be done first?

There are lawn experts here who have lots of good information - take a look in the Lawn Care Forum in particular, there should be many variations on this discussion if you scroll through. You can accomplish a lot of excellent fertilization with a thin layer of good compost but I am not sure if you would do it exactly at the same time you put out your seed.

My may reason for posting here and now is to tell you to avoid the combination packages of seed and fertilizer - those are chemical applications that aren't good for the health of your grass or your soil.

Good luck with this!

At the time you wrote it was neither time to plant bermuda seed nor time to fertilize. Time to fertilize would have been a month later and time to seed bermuda would have been two months later (about now).
