What type of grass grows under cedar trees? We are having a time finding some thing that will grow. We have been in this house for seven years and has put off landscaping because of this problem.

I believe there is no plant that will grow under Texas Hill Country cedar trees. The trees suck all the water out of the ground so quickly and completely that nothing will grow.

On the other hand, the week you kill a cedar, all kinds of stuff will sprout from all the dormant seeds under there. The only way I know of to kill the cedar is to saw it off at ground level.
