I am so happy to have found this forum!! I am from Northwest , TN, I love Organic Gardening, have 4 acres of land, most of which I leave natural for all the creatures, I plant tomatoes, cantaloupes, serrano peppers, cucumbers in my veggie garden along with Zinnias, marigolds, petunias and sunflowers.
I have been amending my hard red clay ground , for about 5 years and finally have really nice rich dark brown dirt to play in :) !!
I did it all for free, I used cardboard donated from my local Sears , the huge boxes that washers etc. come in worked perfect, free veggie scraps from the local organic produce man, leaves form the trees on the property, grass clippings when I mow and organically grown straw which I get every year from our Hallelujah Festival in October , the Saturday before Halloween - it is a free Chili supper with all kinds of yummy desserts for adults and children to enjoy and after supper they get to play free games, where they get tickets to redeem for prizes, I am in the prize room, I love it , I have a blast, the kiddos get to pick all kinds of fun items, the Chili and desserts are made by the members of the Church, it is a safe alternative to trick or treating, I am the lucky one who gets the straw after the festival is over, usually about 10 bales gets loaded on my truck :)
I am learning so very much about Organic Gardening and love all of it! I am an advocate for organic gardening and for protecting our pollinators!
Looking forward to learning all kinds of new things here!
God Bless Everyone!
TOL = Tons of Love! A Positive saying I created in these trying times, pass it on if you like it!
Happy Gardening and TOL!
Gloria

Welcome to the forum! It sounds like you've made a lot of progress and have a great network of sources. In the middle of the home page you'll find the link for the Library of Organic Advice where you can look up both pests and remedies and lots of other stuff. And right below that you'll find specific guides for various projects.
