Lightning knocked a strip of bark 5 inches wide about 10 or 15' high.Should I cover up the bare wood?

From the Natural Organic Library:

Quote:
If you have a tree that has sustained lightening damage spray the tree with Garrett Juice and use the Sick Tree Treatment throughout the root zone. If the lightning only ripped the bark off the outside of the trunk in a strip, the tree will probably be stressed for a while but survive. If the lightning went through the center of the tree and blew all the bark off, it's a goner.
