I know the lime tree is not in Howards book on Texas plants. I saw small ones (3-4 feet tall) at Calloways this weekend. Just curious if it would work here maybe container kept and brought in for the winter. These actually had small limes on them, but not sure of the variety. Any information greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks!!!!

Yes, that will work. Howard has a key lime tree, matter of fact.

I have one as well (a Key Lime in a large container) and the production is fantastic! I believe it is in it's 4th year with me.

How great to hear that Key Limes can be grown here in the DFW area!

Do they have to be in containers and brought-in in the winter?

Thanks

I have a Mexican Thornless Lime growing a few feet from my house. It struggled from leafminers the first year but it has come back with a roar. It is putting on new branches and leaves about every six weeks.
