Hi, I'm trying to find a source for local honey - I'm apx 10 miles south of Weatherford. I haven't been able to find anything on the Texas beekeepers web site - does anyone know of any beekeepers in this area?

Thanks!

Thanks for the link - but they don't list anything local or even the surrounding counties. So I'm still looking, I know there have got to be local beekeepers somewhere!

CK the Weatherford Farmers Mkt at the courthouse area. Other Farmers Mkts might be worth checking.

I'll try that, thanks. I did stop there once when I first moved here but wasn't looking for anything in particular, I was a little disappointed that it didn't really seem like a real farmer's market, didn't look like local produce. The closest 'real' farmer's market that I've heard of is at the Hulen Mall in Ft Worth - but I haven't been there, 35 miles seems like a long ways to drive just for a few veggies.

I will check the Weatherford market for honey, though, thanks!

The only "real farmers mkt" in the Ft. Worth area that I know of is the Cowtown Farmers Mkt. (http://www.cowtownfarmersmarket.com) located on the traffic circle (junction of hwy 183, 377, 80). The actual address is 3821 Southwest Blvd., Ft. Worth, 76116. All items sold are grown or created locally (within 150 miles). No resellers are allowed. Regarding honey, one brand I like is "Fains".
