I have a bloodgood Japanese maple on the western side of my yard that has developed green spots on the red leaves. The other bloodgood maples in my yard have green leaves, even if they are in sunnier locations like this one. Is this mosaic disease or could it be something else? This tree was vandalized by someone in the spring who snipped off random small branches and I’m concerned that they may have introduced a disease as I don’t recall this tree having had spotted leaves before (it was planted in my yard just over a year ago).
