Lots of mockingbirds in my neighborhood. At least one regularly visits the suet feeder outside my office window. He has not being singing as much lately, but I think he was trying out all 200 of his songs earlier this year.

Birds get hot in the summer also. A couple of years ago I shot this video of a mockingbird cooling off in the water from a sprinkler. He would sometimes chase the water as it moved past the tree.

There were a couple of young grackles under a car in a hot parking lot yesterday - making so much racket that I began to wonder if there was a demented little dog in the car that had a bark like a bird. :)
