I am trying this for the first time. Mine is a cinder block garden of which I have 3. The herbs and flowers are around the edges and plants in the middle.

We have an 8 foot by 16 foot raised bed garden in our backyard. Originally we had it built of pressure treated lanscaping timbers but rebuilt it with paving stones to eliminate any leaching out of the treated wood into the soil. The paving stones are four rows high and serve as a place to sit as well. We grow tomatoes, loads this year, peppers, greens of different types, broccoli, brussel sprouts, onions, strawberries and use flowers around the edges (marigolds mainly). Of course not all the vegetables are in there at the same time but we have plenty for the both of us. I would like to send a picture but have nothing with me this week, perhaps next week. Bye!

I'm poking around, looking for ideas. What a beautiful yard and garden in ButchB's 2007 shots! I hope a few more folks post such inspiring photos. I'm digging another new bed, it isn't ready for prime time yet, but that is a great goal to work for. It also lets me see a good garden that I could keep my dogs out of. :)
