I have bermuda grass, and my neighbor has St. Augustine. His grass is growing under the fence and spreading into my lawn. Is there anything I can put on the intruding St. Augustine to kill it without harming my bermuda? Thank you for any thoughts or ideas.

I've heard mowing very low favors the bermuda while mowing high favors the st augustine. If it were me I wouldn't worry about it. I've got a similar situation in my yard, and the st. augustine seems to do a better job crowding out the weeds than the bermuda does, so I hope one day it takes over everything.

I'm afraid the St Augustine will dominate whether you mow low or high. It will dominate much more quickly if you mow it high, but even low mowing will allow the St Augustine to invade. I've seen this time and again in my neighborhood. The bermuda ALWAYS loses. Usually the bermuda owner concedes and converts.
