During the winter I plant pansies and cabbage and have previously removed them in the spring. This flowerbed has salvia, cosmos, and other self seeding plants that come up. I have not removed the pansies and cabbage because they are still pretty. However, I do not see many of my summer flowers coming up. Should I remove the pansies and cabbage?

Please update your profile to show us your location so we can better understand your growing conditions. The answer for Houston is much different than what we would recommend in Ohio.
