I am looking for an electric chipper shredder especially one that will handle green material. A local source in the DFW area would be ideal.

My experience with gas powered chippers has not been very good so I question if you will find an electric chipper that will get the job done. The biggest problem I had was with green material because it gums up the blades. If you notice the commercials on TV, they are usually cutting up dead wood. I've never seen anyone take tomato vines for example and run them through a shredder.
Check out Consumer Reports and make sure you have a return policy if you decide to buy one.

I would not suggest anything under 10 horsepower.
To chip and shred the wood yourself would be a great workout!

No, I am not up to it either. Bench-pressing 90lbs is all I am up to and that is in an air-conditioned gym!
