I am looking for something I saw a few months back and now I can not find. It was the evaporation rate of chemical nitrogen when applied to a ag. field and the field gets no rain.
It went something like this.
20% evaporates in 24 hours.
40% evaporates in 2 days.
60% evaporates in 3 days.
80% evaporates in 4 days.
and if you get 2 inches of rain in 24 hours you loose 60% to leaching and run off.
can anyone confirm this and tell me where to find the info???
Thank you,
Brad

Those figures may be correct but I never though
about since I don't care - except in an argument
on how bad chemical ag is to the land and our
health.
