I just joined the DirtCrew but I'v been listening to Howard for years and have a bunch of his books. I vegtable garden for the last 9 years in raised beds in Dallas. My garden this year is doing great so far. No bugs or dieases. I've been taking good care of what I've got instead of planting more than I can care for like usual! This looks like a great board.

Welcome!
How is your garden doing this year?
The majority of my garden is herbs, but this year I am growing tomatoes from seed!

My passion has always been veggies, but this year I'm getting more into plowers, really due to my 9 year old son's interest in butterflys. So now I'm learning about natives and also interested in drought tolerant and roses. My veggies are doing good so far!

Great! Native plants are the best choices! You can do searches for plants specifically for butterflies at txsmartscape.com, more specifically: http://www.txsmartscape.com/plant_searc ... h_main.asp.
