There are an incredible amount of red colored ants around my foundation! I use hot garlic pray, DE, orange oil, and my feet. Nothing seems to work. I can not identify what type of ant they are. They do not make mounds and I can not find where they go. They just walk around my foundation. Is anyone ever seen this types of ants? Do I need to be concerned about then. When I squish one, they do not smell like coconuts so I don't believe they are carpenter ants. If anyone has any ideas, that would be great.

I am having the same problem. These tiny red ants are all over my foundation and in my trees. I can follow a trail back to a whole in the ground where they seem to disappear in. I can't seem to get rid of them. They just pop up again or never leave at all. Any help?

If we all saw the number of insects that are around our houses....If you are not getting bitten by them or they are not getting into your house then don't worry about them.

I am not saying eeww there are insects around my house. I am saying that they were not here last year and they are everywhere this year. they are at least an eye sore and a nuisance. I would like suggestions on how to rid myself of them, not someone's opinion on the fact that I am bothered by them. Thanks Mashelle

I'm seeing more ants this year as well and I'm afraid they are the crazy rasberry ants that first showed up in Houston. The new DE - Soil Mender or Dia-Source - is very effective.
