My lawn has large patches of wild strawberries that are taking over. I have tried pulling them up, but there are to many. I have read that some people have had success with sugar... Does that really work? I have zoysia grass (which i really don't like but it is here and very difficult to get rid of). I live in Saint Loius, Mo. Any suggestions on how to get rid of these weeds organically would be appreciated.

Spray with 20% vinegar (or any vinegar you can find). That kills the top growth. Repeated spraying will eventually kill the plant. The vinegar will damage the zoysia and leave spots, but it will come back.
