I just take a sharp shovel and break them up and pull them out to thin them. I am sure you can find someone who would be happy to have them. Best to do thip opposite the bloom time. If they bloom in April, do this in October. These are really tough plants, don't worry about handling them too gently. Just be sure to keep the leaf stems intact and you are good to go!
