I've tried this twice now, with a basic Ace Hardware 1-gallon sprayer that works great with plain water, and each time the sprayer eventually clogs up, or something, and won't spray. Last time I tried it, I even strained the mixture through a cloth to get out any errant coffee grounds or other particles, but it still wouldn't spray after the first few moments.

I have to say that the plants that got sprayed, both times, perked up immediately overnight, even though they looked healthy to begin with. This stuff is great, but I need help with spraying it. Any ideas?

Thanks.

about 3 weeks ago I filled the canister of a miracle grow sprayer with the G. juice and it worked good. It never clogged, but I'm not sure what ratio to water it was coming out. None the less, I used it all up till the canister was clear. Can some one please chime in on how they spray G. juice as a foliar spray, please for us? :)

My sprayer is a simple canister type with a pump -- no water attachment, and maybe that's the problem. Maybe I need the other kind?

I know there are lots of you out there using this stuff -- what's the secret? C'mon, you can tell us. :D

I've never had any success spraying home made compost tea. You might try filtering three times. The compost tea that goes into Garrett Juice is filtered through a sand bed that is several inches thick.

Thanks. I actually use liquid from old coffee grounds, which I keep in my kitchen. I heard Howard say recently that this was a good substitute for compost tea. About the only solid thing in the stuff I mix up would be a few coffee grounds here and there, and I've learned to strain all of those out.

I'd buy it ready-made, but it's not to be had around here and shipping liquids is really expensive.

If you have 5 gallons to spray, a hose end sprayer takes forever.

This may look like spam but you asked, Tractor supply has a 3 gallon backpack sprayer that woks great. It is a trombone type and 3 gal is a little heavy but you dont have to fill it full. I mix one part G.J. to 3 parts water ,a little strong but works well.

I'm assuming the issue is with home-made Garrett Juice? The store-bought bottled concentrate never gives my sprayer trouble.

Yep, it's the home made variety. Buying the concentrate is pricey for me, especially when you add in shipping.

I gave up on spraying it, just use it as a soil drench. Can't have everything!
