As was pointed out, I initially got my eagle cams mixed up - I do apologize. Here is an update on the family that lost the female eagle.

This is a mistake. The Iowa eagles are all alive and still fine. The eagle you're talking about was in a park in Norfolk, Virginia.

Thank you so much for your update!! I am a Biology teacher and my class has been following the Decorah eagles for a month now. It has become a highlight for my students and I think they would have been devasted.

I can't thank you enough.
