Hello all. Just returned from ten years in Calif. Just built raised beds here in Tex for friends. Had to, rock hard white chalk a coupla inches down.Searched for soil and found Living Earth veggie soil mix. Sounded good. Looked ok. Put 2 cu. yds in. Just out of curiousity I did a soil test with Luster Leaf soil test kit. Ouch.! No Nitrogen. Zip. Ph 7.0+ ; N 0; P medium; K Low.. So... What now.. ? I'm hoping others have dealt with this as it is a local company that has been around a while. Please help.. T

First find a coffee shop and ask for all their coffee grounds or collect them from your place of employment and scatter them throughout the soil. I would also add some blood meal and make a compost tea from worm castings that you can purchase online. It shouldn't take long to improve the amount of nitrogen in your soil.
