I live in an area that open lots are hayed several times a year. There are lots of gophers and the person who does the haying is wanting to use zinc phosphide grain to kill them by injecting it about a foot underground. My dog catches gophers so of course I'm worried about her but also I have blackberries and asparagus growing next to property lines. Are they going to be contaminated?

Thanks for any info you can give me.

Using this product is a terrible suggestion.

Try to concentrate on your own property to keep them away. Here is some information:
