Hello!
Does anyone know what these white balls are and who could be making or living inside them? I popped one open and see greenish looking worm. How to get rid of them?

Those are red oak leaves, not maple, and what you're seeing are galls, caused by small wasps that essentially
sting the tree. Here is one page that gives a lot of information about how they come about. There is nothing
you need to do about them. You'll notice them on the ground because quite a few will probably dislodge.

I have never seen an acorn in that tree!
And I have seen a lot of green hollow balls hanging via stems. Are those also galls?

If they're hollow, then yes, probably also galls.
