Hello all, I live in the Northeast corridor and have moss growing in between the brick work on my patio, as well as, on the side of my house(which is a cream color). How can I get rid of this without discoloring the color of the house and patio brickwork?

Down here in Texas vinegar works on weeds. 10% full strength or with a couple of tablespoons of orange oil (d-limonene) per gallon. It ought to work on moss also - try spraying some on during a warm day and when the sun is shining on it.

There are also a few commercial products that have these ingredients. Please let us know if one of these works for you.

Where is orange sold? I've heard of it as an essence(like cooking), but not as an herbicide. Can I find in at a place like home depot? :?:

Try your local feed stores and garden centers. D-Limonene is a product from oranges, but it isn't a cooking ingredient. There is a page here (http://www.dirtdoctor.com/organic/garden/advance_business_listings/) for finding organic businesses in your area. And if you can't find it, there are ways to mail order orange oil or products with orange oil. It gets to be expensive shipping liquids, so try finding it in a local store first, or see if they will order and let you pick it up.
