My Landscaper cut my 40 year old crepe mrytle tree back too far and has caused alot of problems (I'm sure due to shock and distress). It was covered with aphids and has been attacked by borers. I read the treament for sick trees and would like to try it but I had some questions.

I'm new to organic gardening and I'm kinda at a lost on some of the ingredients and steps required to do this treament.
Step #1 and #2
Since this is an old tree what is the best way to do these steps myself?
Seems like spraying the root zone with a bio-stimulant would be easier?
What is the name of this product and where can I puchase it?
Step #3
I live in Louisiana so is Texas Greensand a must?
Where can I purchase all these products in LA?
(Lava sand, Horticultural cornmeal, etc.)
Can I use regular cornmeal and sugar?
How much of each product to apply for one good size tree?
Just apply all these products at once?
Do I need to water it in?
Step #4 I can handle this step
Step #5
Where can I purchase Garrett Juice?
Step #6
I have recently used chemicals - which haven't helped the tree that is why I vowed to stop using them.
Are there any additional steps to help clear or clean up the soil around the tree?

Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to learn and understand!

I had the same problem, and the first thing you want to do is to spray as much of the tree as you can with a strong blast of water. It will knock them of and it renders them unable to eat. Blast everwhere you see them. My next step will be to spray Neem oil, and of course the Sick Tree Treatment. Good luck.
