I'm fostering several kittens from different litters & one of them had ring worm so of course now they all have it plus 2 of my indoor cats (& me!). I'm using a vets solution, but does anyone know of anything organic that will kill this fungus? I mixed a solution of cornmeal & warm water & used the juice from that but no results yet. Can anyone help? Thanks

I heard lemmon juice helps. Don't know for sure though as this might burn a kitten. Just make sure all animals get spayed and nuetered. Cats can be spayed earlier than once thought. It's never too early to do the right thing. Good luck with the ring worm.

I might try a watered down lemon juice on me first just to see if it burns and/or works. These babies were spayed/neutered when they were a mere 9 wks old! I used to think they needed to be 6 months at least but they seem to do better at this younger age(as we all do, I guess). Thanks for your help.

Hey I re-read my reply and I worded that very rudely. I didn't mean directly at you, sorry if I got in to your business. :( If you don't mind, I was wondering if you could update this thread on the lemmon juice experiment. My sisters house had an outbreak. They think they might have gotten it from thier dogs. (I think it's the other way around.)

I didn't think your reply was TOO rude - just a little. :)
Actually, I'm one of those people who spread the word on altering your animals as both you and the animal will be a happier camper! We live in the country and there is a constant stream of dumped animals and we do what we can to find homes for them or wind up keeping them ourselves so I don't mind anyone spreading the word on altering!!!
As for the lemon juice - it didn't burn me but it didn't help either so I'm going to stick with the current program even tho it's not organic. The spray is called
"Dermacide Solution" - got it from a vet. I also am using OTC cream for athletes foot fungus. Good luck!
