hello everyone, i'm new here. :) there is a fungus or something growing throughout my garden...it's a pink, or orange color,...if i touch it with my shoe, or disturb it in anyway, it seems to die. i have no idea what it could be. i live down by waco, i don't know if that matters at all.... does anyone know what this stuff could be?
thank you for any suggestions. :?

You'll have to send a photo for that one! and tell us about how you prepared your garden, what amendments, if you mulch and what you use, how often you water, all of those things. What was on this spot before? A tree, perhaps, with roots that are breaking down? Fungus on the surface means there is a lot more going on underground. Have you dug it up? What does it look like?

I've had some really bizarre looking fungi in my yard over the years, but haven't bothered to more than photograph the tops. If someone has studied and posted or published photographs of them it would be a fascinating site. There are bound to be several good sources of information: I'll have to poke around.

People may not have noticed this question because of where you posted it. Next time look around for a forum category that has people already talking about fungi and you should get answers faster. It's a great question.
