I'm not sure what is eating my broccoli and kale, but something is. I have carefully searched for caterpillers, which I had lots of last year, and have found none. I treated with Thuricide but the leaves kept disappearing. All my broccoli and kale are now without any leaves and I am in a quandry as to what ate them and how i can organically control the pest. Does anyone have any ideas? I tried attaching pictures but am not sure anything was attached.

It sounds like you have a late-season caterpillar (I found a smallish hornworm in my tomatoes last weekend, before the frost). The Bt in the Thuricide should take care of it, but those leaves may not grow back, new ones will have to replace them further up the plant.

The other garden pests I have trouble with this time of year are snails. I use Sluggo to knock them out of the garden (if you get Sluggo plus it includes Spinosad and is very effective against things like pillbugs/sowbugs that are also destructive in high numbers).
