This forum is great on making compost, but how about spreading compost? I usually sift it and put it in a wagon or a 5 gallon bucket and take it to the part of the yard that needs it the most, but now I found an eaiser way.I put the sifted compost in my fertilizer spredder, open it up to the widest amount and start wheeling it around the yard.Don't know why I didn't think of it sooner.

I have a scotts spreader,it has a big drop bucket and a whirlly thing under it.I found it on the curb on trash day.I took it home and put on a new wheel(it was missing one),washed it out,and have used it now for about 5 years.

Go to Youtube and look how you can make your own compost tumbler, pretty much chicken wire and 2 pieces of round plywood and a handle. 8)
