A friend of mine sent me this photo - a tit-for-tat exchange between a Tufted Titmouse and a racoon.

The racoon is helping himself to sunflower on a feeder, the titmouse is gathering materials for his nest - from the racoons tail.

I find birds nests lined with hair from my catahoula/blue heeler dog's hair. Birds travel to the back yard to pick up hair around the porch, or who knows, may harvest directly. :)
