Self watering tomato gardening...as in the two 5 bucket system. What potting mix to use for best wicking?
I probably need to specify, it's a similar system to the Earth Box concept except using 2 5 Gal. buckets ( very cheap or free). The key to this appears to be the mix used for proper wicking without drowning the roots. There are many " opinions " on the net about this, many are contradictory. In concept, this way of growing veggies is very efficient....what say Y'all?

My only concern would be a consistently wet root zone which will quickly rot. All plants need to take a 'breath' between waterings.
