Does anyone know how to safely clean coral?
I have a big beautiful round one that is brown from all
the dust of late & water isn't cutting it. I thought about orange oil,
but thought it might damage it.
Thanx

Did you let it soak in water or just try to rinse it off? If you rinsed it maybe soaking may loosen up the dust. I had several saltwater aquariums and have used Clorox and water to clean corals. I would not use Clorox if it is a colored coral because some fading may occur. If you do try it start with a small amount of Clorox mixed with water. Just enough that you can barely smell the chlorine. I used Clorox because it is clear and some of the cheaper bleaches are yellow.
The orange I never tried because I didn't know how fish would react the residue. Chlorine will disipate after several days.
White vinegar in water might work also. Again I would start with a light mixture first.
I use Orange TKO to clean the rest of the house. It emulsifies in water and turns a milky white.
