Not sure which forum is best suited to this topic, so here goes... I'm noticing a number (3, so far) of small, pinkish geckos INSIDE my home lately. I know they're harmless, I generally just let them be, although I did carefully remove one from a spider web (hey, it was a dark corner I hardly ever look at) and set it outside. My questions are 1. What type of gecko are they likely to be and 2. WHY are they in the house? Seems like there would be very little food for them inside...

I don't mean to characterize your living conditions but if you have geckos, you also have moths, beetles, spiders and other insects inside your house. The fact that you rescued (thank-you) one from a spider web is proof enough.
There are many kinds of geckos that could live indoors, a generic name would be house gecko.

We are fortunate to have geckos also. We used to have over a dozen on our back screened porch so I'm thinking we had way more than were visable. Every year around this time we would find babies in the house, just kept a shoe box handy to catch them in & put them on the porch. I didn't think there would be enuf bugs in the house (wishful thinking?) to keep 'em fed. We've only seen about 3-4 on the porch the last few years. They certainly keep the fly population down!
