Urine burns are often a sign that the yard is not getting enough fertilizer or does not have a good population of microbes. The problem is a high concentration of urea where the microbes are not plentiful enough to process it.

For individual spots you can scatter a heaping handful of table sugar on the spot and water it a little. The sugar will stimulate the bacteria to populate and the new population of microbes will take care of the urine spot for you.

Tide seems a little extreme. I can understand a little soapy water to allow the urine to wick deeper into the soil, but that is more of an overall treatment, not a spot treatment. There are two products on the market used for softening soil. Both are surfactants. They are Aerify and Nitron. I believe Aerify is soap. Nitron is made from yucca extract. Both are very expensive. You could get the same effect by spraying generic baby shampoo (not today's dish soap) on the lawn.
