Like an idiot I used Scotts fertilizer Bonus S. Not only does it cause severe lawn damage to the fescue and rye that I used to have, but I used twice as much as I was supposed to. I want to go organic and have a healthy lawn. Can someone please tell me how to straighten this mess out and how do I get started in being organic?

Ouch :!:

I guess you are now "$ broker."

Mow low and discard clipping. Do not compost. :!:

Add about 1/2" of a good grade of compost. Lawn area in SqFt x .04 = CuFt required. 1 CuYd = 729 CuFt

Water down weekly with Medina-Plus and add in some liquid molasass. 1-2 Tbs per gallon.

Lightly mulch to hold moisture and keep the soil cool. 8)

When you mow whatever pops up, cut it with a mulching mower and leave the clippings on the lawn.

Others will have more suggestions for you. Check the "lawn" section.
