I have a shady area on the west side that was bare of grass. I put in a 75 small asian jasmine plants in tilled soil. Everyone was eaten down to the nub, see a lot of bunnies. They did not touch the very mature AJ in the front. Any suggestions on replacement plants for this area. I have been told that young AJ will be eaten by rabbits.

Have you tried any of the repellents that are available on the market? If you listen to the podcast of last week's show, in the second or third hour, I think Howard talked about one product. (I may also be thinking of Anything You Ever Wanted to Know on Fridays on KERA-FM - people call in there with garden questions also).

As an alternative suggestion, I have three dogs, two of which shed a great deal and I save the hair out of the brush I use on them to spread it around the vegetable garden. It helps with mice and rats, it might well help with rabbits. I have bunnies nesting in my front yard, but not in the back any more since I got the dogs.
