I have a shady area on the west side that was bare of grass. I put in a 75 small asian jasmine plants in tilled soil. Everyone was eaten down to the nub, see a lot of bunnies. They did not touch the very mature AJ in the front. Any suggestions on replacement plants for this area. I have been told that young AJ will be eaten by rabbits. |

Have you tried any of the repellents that are available on the market? If you listen to the podcast of last week's show, in the second or third hour, I think Howard talked about one product. (I may also be thinking of Anything You Ever Wanted to Know on Fridays on KERA-FM - people call in there with garden questions also). As an alternative suggestion, I have three dogs, two of which shed a great deal and I save the hair out of the brush I use on them to spread it around the vegetable garden. It helps with mice and rats, it might well help with rabbits. I have bunnies nesting in my front yard, but not in the back any more since I got the dogs. |
