How to kill weeds (dandelions included) in a yard used by two dogs? I've heard of a vinegar solution, but am not sure about the recipe.

Who's had success with this or other solutions -- and what are those solutions?

Thanks.

If you have dandelions in St Augustine grass, then just raising the mower deck seems to kill dandelions and prevent new ones.

The recipe is as follows:

Vinegar

Spray it on a hot, sunny day for best results. You only have to spray the leaves.

The "recipe" seems pretty straightforward! I'll try it. Am wondering if vinegar (sprayed on a warm day) works on other weeds too ... Thanks for your feedback.

Vinegar works to some extent on most everything. I have not seen any effect at all on English ivy or on bermuda grass. We have horse herb growing in every bare spot in the neighborhood. Vinegar turns it crispy in 2 hours.

I've tried using different brands, even the vinegar, I'm not sure if there's something that would really stop these week from growing back. I tried using this bermuda grass control.

I sprayed some weeds this summer and the overspray went onto bermuda. The bermuda died quickly...at least on top. So I sprayed some more bermuda and it died. I think my problem with vinegar is that we don't get that many really sunny days. This summer, however, we have had nothing but clear, HOT, sunny days.
