Has anyone tried the vinegar mix on aquatic vegetation? I have a canal that has been taken over by water hyacinth. Thanks. |

I have not heard about water hyacinth since the 80s. Back then the only cure was to dredge it out every year. |

I live in FL in have a 3/4 mile canal just full of it. I don't have the equipment to dredge it out and wouldn't want to know what it would cost to have someone else do it. I ordered some 10% vinegar that I'll give a shot. I will post the results. |

If the canal is yours, they you're on the hook. If the canal is not yours, then call the city or county. One really good thing about water hyacinth: it cleans up polluted water! |

Vinegar might work but 10% hydrogen peroxide would be worth a try also. |

Hadn't heard of using hydrogen peroxide. Is it just a spray to the foliage? |
