The blossoms on my bougainvillea plants appear to be feeding the entire neighborhood's cutter bee and paper wasp population. About as fast as they bloom, they become lunch. Is there anything I can apply that would nudge the little fellas to try another buffet?

I think in this instance I would try products that chase off the pests, don't kill them. How about spraying on garlic pepper tea? Or if that doesn't work, spritzing on some diatomaceous earth. As long as they're not actually doing killing damage to the plants, just cutting leaves and flowers, I wouldn't worry (I'd probably be out there with the close-up lens on my camera trying to catch them in action!)

Thanks. That's kind of what I thought to try, just wanted to confirm. Nothing toxic, of course.

These are 25+ year old plants I've babied in Dallas! Just a fun factoid, but I have noticed in past years that if the cutter bees eat all the blossoms, I often get a 2nd growth several weeks later, but in a different shade of red. From fushia to crimson. No idea why.
