I need help with ideas to keep rabbits from eating my garden. I planted watermelon seeds and the rabbits have devoured them. Any ideas for keeping them out?

You'll probably need to put up a fencing of some kind with very small openings. You could always see if there's something else you could plant that the rabbits would prefer to your watermelons and deter them away from your garden (maybe some alfalfa?), but it's a little too late this year to worry with that. Cats are also pretty good at keeping rabbits away, and I have a dog who chases anything out of the yard that doesn't belong, in his opinion.

The product that has been very successful for rabbits is Liquid Fence. It's a patened mixture of eggs and garlic that has minimal to no smell after it is applied, to humans, but the residual repells rabbits. It will not wash off in the rain, will not harm any animals or plants and is bio-degradable. I don't know of any small nurseries your way that carry it but all the Lowe's stores in Texas have it in a ready to use qt and a concentrate for a sprayer. It is 100% guaranteed.
