| Post subject: | Pulled out old plants-can I leave on ground |
I pulled up all my peas and beans because they were eaten alive by something. Do I really have to throw them away or can I leave them to cover a dormant part of my veg garden this fall/winter and work them into the soil later. Don't want to spread disease, or more bugs,....I just read not to compost stuff like this. I'm not sure I can bear to throw all this green stuff away! |

tjjohn That makes great ingredients to the compost pile. It is easier to till in the garden if you grind it up first, from my past experiences. |
