Post subject:  Help. Chile plants

Hello. I am having issues with Jalapeño and chile pequin plants. It started with the jalapeño. It produced well to start then stopped growing. The leaves started to grow smaller and very curly. It continued to produce for a bit but fruit was very small. It now is happening to my pequin. Any thoughts? It almost looks like a miniature plant with super curly leaves. Help please.

It is normal for the fruit to be smaller in the hottest part of the summer. Regarding the leaves, do they seem to have spots on them too? How often are you watering? You don't need to water but every 3 days or so, if you are watering deeply. Do the leaves get sprayed by the sprinkler? That can often promote fungal disease.

Can you post an image?

Not really spotty and the fruit is smaller but more deformed. Almost stunted looking. It is watered heavily but not often. About once a week. And is hit with the sprinkler maybe once a week when watering the lawn. I will try to post a photo but it keeps telling me the extension is not allowed. Sorry I'm new to the forum. Thanks If it is fungal what can I do to help?

Thanks a ton

My bell peppers and hot peppers are tiny compared to early summer and fall. Make sure you are fertilizing them every few weeks with a balanced, organic fertilizer. You should see improvement as the weather cools a bit. You can spray the foliage with seaweed in the early morning for a foliar feed too.
