This is the first year that my peach trees have little peaches on them. I noticed this morning that there were those stringy little spider web like threads on my trees. I also noticed what I would call an inch worm, wiggling on one of those web threads. Could he be the one who is eating holes in the leaves. What do I need to do to get rid of what ever is eating the leaves. Also, what do I need to do for this tree? I would how to keep the tree healthy. I know that other people have their trees sprayed with chemicals, but since I moved to where I am now I have never used any chemicals in the last four years. These are young peach trees. |

Spray with Bt. I occasionally have the same problem, and it gets rid of it every time. I don't use chemicals, and Bt is about the only pest control I use because it also works for corn earworms, which are persistent in this area. |

Bt is Bacillus thurengensis which is a bacterial based pesticide effective on worm and caterpillar-type pests. You can buy the liquid and dilute it. There are a couple of brand names I am familair with, Thuricide and Dipel, and probably several others. |
