Post subject:  Peach Trees

I have 60 peach trees here in northeast tx. (longview area) I have lived here for 1.5 years so I'm assuming they weren't organically grown.

Last year I lost the whole crop to brown rot. This year I pruned real good, bought some organic compost, molasses. I was going to put it under the trees.

What else do I need to do for them. How do I kill the brown rot? I was going to buy some cornmeal but I am getting confused between regular cornmeal and corn gluten meal.. I saw corn gluten meal was like 40.00 for 20lbs.. whew!! expensive.

I would apply Howard's Sick Tree treatment. You can buy it already put together or you can follow the attached recipe to make your own. Good luck!

which cornmeal am I suppose to use..
and when aerating.. am I just suppose to poke holes like with a pitch fork.. and then put compost and all ingredients on top???
sorry I am just trying to make sure I'm doing this right.

Yes, it says " Punch holes (with turning forks, core aerators or agriculture devices such as the Air-Way) heavily throughout the root zone. "
