Somebody help me please.
On the new growth on my okra plant I have a serious aphids population. What is the best remedy for removing these pests?

Spray them with water. If you make it soapy water some of them may die.

There is a plant called the butterfly weed. It is called a weed because it is not very attractive but it does attract butterflies...and aphids - LOTS of aphids. If you plant it at a distance from your garden, you may be able to distract the aphids from your okra. But better yet, if you leave the butterfly weed alone and don't try to kill those aphids, those aphids will attract praying mantis and ladybugs to your garden. These predators will not come to your garden unless and until the population of food warrants their coming. The butterfly weed will assure they have plenty to eat. Then when they get tired of feeding off those aphids, they may search for food in the rest of the garden.
