Snakes, owls, or hawks will chase them away. So now how do you get them in the area? Anyone?

Don't know the answer, but do not use the high frequency sound deterrents. They don't work. The company I work for installed some and went back to adjust them several times. The boxes made a nice flat nesting surface for the birds.

Try squirting them with water at night when they go to roost. A garden hose with an adjustable nozzle should work. It's cheap, easy and may take a few attempts, but considering the mess they make it will be worth it.
