Post subject:  Tiny kitchen moths

Morning,
We have a problem with moths who have taken up residence in one of our kitchen pantries. They are very small and a light brown/gray color. The moths will get into thin plastic containers (spagetti, rice, etc) and lay eggs and multiply. We have placed all food stuff in heavy plastic containers, and have cleaned out the pantry 3 times, wiping the surfaces down with a cloth dampened with orange oil. Also tried moth balls, even though I don't think these are the type of moths that frequent clothes closets. All to no avail. Any suggestions appreciated.

I heard that you can deter them by putting dried bay leaves in with your rice/pasta etc. Anyone else heard of this?

Ack- we just went thru this too! Hate to tell you this but they even got in tightly closed plastic containers. :(
We took everything out of the pantry & washed it thru & thru w/orange oil solution. Opened all food & threw out-waaay out to the alley-everything that was infected.
Had a plastic container w/popcorn in it-about 2 wks old-figured it was 'clean'...Noooooo! Ugh. Worms. So we used glass jars w/tight lids for everything. I think sometimes you get them directly from the grocery store in pasta. :(

"Glue traps shaped like little tents"? Sounds interesting enough to possibly work. Any idea as to where these can be purchased, I don't think I have ever seen one? I'll check at the feed store, if anyone else knows of a location please chime in, these moths are driving us crazy.
