Can someone give me an explanation? My customer in Big Spring, TX, was spraying his live oak trees with Maestro-Gro Garlic Pepper Tea (which has seaweed as an ingredient) and had no problems as far as skin contact with non-diluted concentrate. Then he decided to add some more seaweed concentrate (Nature's Guide Liquid Seaweed) to the pepper tea. He was mixing it 50-50 into a hose-end sprayer. He then got a reaction that was "like a volcano eruption", and the mixture "boiling" out gave him a heavy burning sensation. I have never had anything like this happen to me, and I had no explanation for him. I know the burning is from the pepper, but does the extra seaweed intensify the effect? Thanks, DH, Waxahachie |

The only thing that comes to mind is that one product is acid & the other is alkaline. That might produce a reaction like putting soda water on battery acid or mixing soda & vinegar. |
